The Board of Directors of the Historical Society of Fairfax County hosts two semi-annual general membership meetings in June and November. In addition to conducting the business of the Society, the semi-annual meetings also feature a guest speaker and a topic relative to the history of Fairfax County. Recent speakers and topics include: Nan Netherton, The History of Falls Church; The History of the Fairfax County Courthouse; Dwight L. Hubbard, The Story of Camp Alger in Spanish American War; Anne Carter Zimmer, The Robert E. Lee Family Cookbook.
